Long live bohemian. We celebrate one of the most anticipated highlights of summer: festival season.
Without a doubt, the middle of June marks a much anticipated period on the calendar. One that (thankfully) runs well into the beginning of autumn, giving us enough time to enjoy all it has to offer.
Ranging from more Indie events such as Field Day and Bestival, to the world renowned Glastonbury and Lovebox, festivals have captured the hearts and ears of many.
Putting the season into full swing, this year’s Glastonbury really upped the ante as usual, and the event hosted its expected string of music loving celebrities.
The usual suspects included Cara Delevigne, Alexa Chung, and Johnny Depp. Then to more unusual ones such as Victoria and David Beckham, Jeremy Corbyn and of course Katy Perry who headlined at the festival.
In addition to the stand-out line-up, Glasto also brought some incredible outfits to the forefront. As with most, festivals really bring out some of the best in fashion.
This fashion has inspired us and we’re totally riding the festival wave.
Joie has great options for just the occasion with their free-flowing, relaxed vibe. The Eukene silk top is lightweight, and the bare shoulder and ruffling across the chest adds a feminine touch.
The boho silk blouse is another great option, which can be dressed down with shorts to build an outfit that’s more comfortable for the occasion. The loose-fit and bolo ties however make this blouse a great option.
We’ve said it time, and time again – one of our best friends during the summer is Hale Bob. Their eclectic, feminine prints combined with lightweight fabrics make their tops a great option.
The Zahara beaded tunic is just that. Fun, and vibrant and available in fuchsia and turquoise to suit your mood.
When it comes to your inner (and outer bohemian), Rebecca Corsi really has you covered.
The floral embellished vest is so festival-chic, its hard to refute! There are so many ways to wear this piece that will ensure you stand out.
It goes without saying that shorts are a staple choice for festivals. If you’re lucky enough to have the sun out on the day, then they become even more practical.
J Brand’s Brona shorts are a great choice – a lightweight cotton, and the peach whip colour is a playful touch for your outfit. For a more toned-down option go for the distressed silver sage.
However, if you feel like jazzing things up slightly, then the embroidery pair from Ermanno are just that! Another piece that screams festival-chic. Pair with some trainers for an easy-to-wear attitude.
If you’re doing a weekender, or even if the weather isn’t the greatest then a good pair jeans will never go amiss. AG’s leggings in 8 years windchill have a great, traditional dye finishe
When it comes to accessories at festivals, they really can make or break your entire outfit. A couple good additions to add to the pot are a baseball cap and a great bag.
Inverni’s luxe leather and rabbit fur baseball cap is such a cute option, and we have always been a fan of Hogan’s clubbing bag in both colours, but we feel that the bi-colour version is great for the occasion.
There are quite a few different additions or combinations that you could make out of this season’s collections, so have a browse and of course, enjoy!
