This season we saw a striking number of Power Suits and Modern Tailoring from some of London’s finest labels.
As the boundaries between menswear and womenswear continue to blur, designers in London seemed to embrace the peaked interest in genderless fashion by adapting their silhouettes and tailoring. Now, we know you might have mixed feelings about it, and probably wouldn’t choose a suit as your wardrobe staple, but the Modern tailoring is nothing like those dreadful thick-tweed jackets, and restricting pants you found at the bottom of your grandparents wardrobe. Think more along the lines of cashmere blend blazers lined with delicate silk, fluidly cut to emphasize your figure but give you room to layer and accessorise. Or trousers so perfectly cut they follow your every move.
Paulie has always been fond of unique pieces, a paradox of design or a juxtaposition of textures. Which is why this season we have carefully selected a range of tailored pieces made with raw materials, lined with finest silk and tailored by the masters.
